The $69 million, Interdisciplinary Science Teaching and Research Facility (ISA) consists of a, 238,000-SF multi-story facility that accommodates upper and lower division interdisciplinary teaching and research needs for the University of South Florida. The facility includes fit-out space of approximately 207,096-SF which is comprised of 52,000-SF of research labs; 72,400-SF teaching labs; 11,000-SF classrooms; 9,000-SF office space; and 1,000-SF study areas and shelled space of approximately 31,420-SF. Components within the facility include two 300-seat lecture halls, a bio-nano research laboratory, an imaging center and a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) facility, among other specialized laboratories. Also included was site development and hurricane hardening. This project achieved LEED® gold certification.
